CALVARY HIKE
This pre-Columbian hilltop in Isinlivi was originally called Ñuñurco, and used by the Inca’s as a strategic viewpoint from where they could be on the lookout for intruders in their territory. From the Calvary hilltop you have an amazing view over the Toachi canyon and river as well as over Isinlivi village. It’s recommended to visit the Calvary early in the morning to see the sun rise or in the late afternoon when the clouds come in. It’s an easy 10 minute hike up – we recommend to just sit on top of the hill for a while to take in the beautiful mountain views or watch the sunset.
